Becky Williams is a main (formerly recurring) character on the FOX series, Empire. She was Lucious Lyon's executive assistant at Empire Entertainment, and one of the people he could truly trust.
She is portrayed by actress Gabourey Sidibe, and she first appears in Pilot. Following Jamal Lyon's official promotion to Vice Chairman, due to Lucious choosing Jamal as his successor, Jamal promotes her to A&R. She is also a part of A&R for Empire's imprint label, Gutter Life Records. Cookie promoted her to head of A&R during her time as CEO and after the Lyon family took back Empire from Jeff Kingsley, Becky and Kelly Patel left Empire and created their own label Bossy Media with the vision being by woman for woman.
